Music & live
Tour dates, festivals and music video production
Routed across cities, credential-gated at the door, and unforgiving about turnaround while a tour is still running. The recurring buyer is the venue or promoter running 200 shows a year — not the festival, which books once and usually pays in credentials.

Rights & compliance
What changes in music
The booking flow is identical in every market. The rights are not — which is the actual reason this is a vertical product and not a generic freelance board.
Default licence
- Copyright
- Creator retains
- Term
- Single use
- Territory
- worldwide
- Exclusivity
- Non-exclusive
- Media included
- Organic socialWeb
- Copyright buyout
- Available, priced separately
The most contested rights position of any market. Blanket copyright transfer demanded at the pit rail is the industry flashpoint, and photographs are not among the categories eligible for commissioned work-for-hire in the first place.
Releases required
- talent Required
Artist approval over released imagery is normal and often contractual. Assume approval rights unless told otherwise.
- venue Required
Venue and promoter permission, usually bundled into the photo pass.
Credentials & cover
- Photo pass
- Tour or promoter accreditation
- Venue security clearance
- General liability — $1M typical
- Equipment cover for touring
Photo pass terms
Passes commonly restrict shooting to the first three songs, no flash, and may attempt to assign copyright or require delivery of all files. Read the pass before signing it at the rail — that is the moment the rights are decided.
Music synchronisation
Delivered video containing recorded music needs sync and master rights. A label licensing its own artist is straightforward; a festival recap spanning ten acts is not.
